Bio-diversity in Namibia

On 15th Feb 2007, Namibia issued a new definitives set, celebrating bio-diversity.

10 stamps, 5c - N$50, plus 2 NVI stamps for ’standard’ and ‘non-standard’ mail. Design by Helge Denker, printed by Enschedé.

5c - Bullfrog, Pyxicephalus adspersus
10c - Mesemb, Namibia cinerea
30c - Solifuge, Ceroma inerme
40c - Jewel Beetle, Julodis Egho
60c - Compass Jellyfish, Chrysaora hysoscella
N$2 - Otjikoto Tilapia, Tilapia guinasana
N$6 - Milkbush, Euphorbia damarana
N$10 - Black-faced impala, Aepyceros melampus petersi
N$25 - Lichens and Xanthorea Ant, Santassonia sp. & Xanthorea sp.
N$50 - Baobab, Adamsonia digitata
Standard Mail - Web-footed Gecko, Palmatogecko rangei
Non-standard Mail - African Hawk-eagle, Aquila faciatus

    where can we find new Zimbabwe stamps. I know a scout issue was released in February and a definitive set but…who stocks them? Norm Hart

    Try contacting craystamps.co.uk. I spoke to Ian there (we have a tie up with this site) who said that Zimbabwe birds definitives are on order and could probably get the scout centenary issue too.

    The only problem is post out of Zimbabwe is painfully slow and often ‘goes missing’ in transit.
