New Stamp Issues Info

New Zealand kicks off the new year with their annual ‘Scenic’ issue. This year, they will focus on waters surrounding New Zealand, through the lens of photographer Kim Westerskov.

Kim specialises in photographing some of nature’s most spectacular and unspoilt places - and their inhabitants. He’s also the only photographer ever to have won five first prizes in the world’s largest wildlife photography competition, the BBC (now British Gas) ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’. This prestigious competition, open to both professional and amateur photographers, currently attracts about 20,000 entries from more than 60 countries.

In addition to the four stamps illustrated above, there will be a minisheet, 2 self-adhesive stamps, sheetlets and first day cover.

Stamp values are: 50c, $1.00, $1.50 and $2.00

The minisheet (illustrated below) will feature all four stamps. The self-adhesive issues will be for 50c and $1.00 stamps only.
